Campaigns are periods of time when Fuel Up to Play 60 provides ways for students, educators, families and the larger community to get involved in making a difference in school wellness. There are two Campaigns each school year: one in the fall and one in the spring.
The 2013-14 Playbook was developed with the input of student and adult experts and contains 10 new and updated Plays – with new and improved Tools & Resources – to support the Campaigns in your school. These action strategies will get all students moving more, and help them understand the importance of school breakfast – because students who eat well and move more learn better. The Plays in the 2013-14 Playbook are the fundable Plays for this school year.

It’s the top recognition your school can earn as a Fuel Up to Play 60 school: the Touchdown School Award. Has your school achieved this high honor? Make this the year! If your school has a Program Advisor and at least one student who has reached Ambassador Level, you’re on your way. Here’s how it works. This tiered recognition program invites schools enrolled in Fuel Up to Play 60 to earn building-wide rewards for completing and checking off Steps 1-3, Steps 1-5 and all Six Steps on the Program Advisor’s Dashboard on FuelUpToPlay60.com. Once a level is achieved, recognition will be placed on the Dashboard. Schools that complete and check off all Six Steps score a Touchdown for their school and are eligible to receive a Touchdown School banner (while supplies last).
Congratulations to National Alumni Ambassador Jack G. and his Program Advisor, Coach Russ McHenry, who were recently featured in a segment on WFMY News 2 for their success in transforming Northern Guilford Middle School in Greensboro, N.C. into a healthy and active school!
