This eNewsletter is a companion to the Fuel Up to Play 60 program, designed to help you manage and guide students as they lead the way toward school wellness!
New this year! Fuel Up to Play 60 is recognizing schools with Program Advisors who lead their community toward positive change.
Fuel Up to Play 60 is based on Six Steps - and your school can earn building-wide rewards for completing Steps 1-3 (First Down!) or for completing Steps 1-5 (Field Goal!). Complete all Six Steps, and you'll score a Touchdown for your school!
Once a level is achieved, recognition will be placed on the school's building Dashboard on FuelUpToPlay60.com, and prizes will be awarded. All levels will receive a digital badge and downloadable certificate, and all Touchdown schools will receive a display poster, while supplies last. For more information, click here.
To be eligible for these rewards, your school needs to have a registered Program Advisor for the 2011-2012 school year and must track progress toward achieving Steps on the Dashboard. To find out if your school has a Program Advisor, simply go to your Dashboard and check. If your school does not have someone playing this role, consider signing on as your school's Program Advisor!

Launching this month are two new Healthy Eating Plays - both focused on the relationship between farms and schools. These Plays can help you as you celebrate the first National Farm to School month, to be held in October.
Every state has farms and farmland, and the farmers who work that land provide the nutritious low-fat and fat-free dairy foods and the healthy fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean protein foods that keep students healthy and strong.
The "From Farm to School: Know Your Foods" Play will help students understand where fresh, nutritious foods come from: the farm! The "From Farm to School: Farms Deliver" Play will raise student awareness of farms in your state.
And remember: because Fuel Up to Play 60 aligns with the 2010 Dietary Guidelines for Americans and the MyPlate icon, you can be assured you're helping kids make healthier food choices!
