Build Teams and Draft Key Players

Fuel Up to Play 60 is a team effort. And teams can come in many forms! One of the most important things you can do to get started is to get people involved and excited.

  • Individuals and small groups can be just as successful as larger teams. You can start with a core group and work from there.
  • Try to engage as many students as possible because that's how real change happens. Recruit from a variety of groups and look for students who you think will take a lead — and can help engage their peers
  • Check out Who Can Help and How and use the folders found in the e-version of the Quick Start Resource to invite key players to join your effort.
  • Visit the Training Camp for a video overview of things you can do during this "step"!

Youth Engagement

Fuel Up to Play 60 is about harnessing the energy and enthusiasm of youth, building partnerships between students and adults and working together for long-term change.

Who Can Help and How?

This interactive resource gives you information about how students and adults in and outside the school building can help — and provides printable resources to invite them to join.
